SBIR/STTR Grants

The Navy, Air Force, Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA), Missile Defense Agency (MDA), Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA), National Imagery and Mapping Agency (NIMA),  U. S. Special Operations Command (SOCOM), Chemical and Biological Defense Program (CBD) and Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD) referred to as DOD components, invite small business firms to submit proposals under the solicitation for the Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) program   Firms with the capability to conduct research and development (R&D) are encouraged to submit proposals.  Eleven other Federal Agencies participate in the SBIR and the Small Business Technology Transfer Research (STTR) programs.  The National Science Foundation (NSF), Health and Human Services (HHS), the National Institute of Health (NIH), Department of Commerce (DOC) etc., are just a few of the Federal Agencies that participate in these three phase research grants.
